Col's musical career started at the tender age of 15 playing bass guitar and singing in a variety of bands touring the club circuit. He then joined The Scene, achieving notoriety by supporting The Q Tips (Paul Young's early band) and Dexys Midnight Runners on nationwide tours. The Q Tips also enjoyed chart success with the single 'I've Had Enough / Somewhere'. Col later chose to pursue his love of singing and dispensing with the bass, set about forming the early incarnations of The Soundations.
ANDY - DRUMS
Andy started playing drums from the age of 16, and toured extensively with various well-known bands throughout the 80's all over the UK, and Europe, Although a highly accomplished studio session drummer used by many famous artists, the love of a live audience has always bought Andy back to more recent live bands such as Finders Keepers, A Few Good Men and Supreme Queen. Andy's technical ability and solid driving rhythms give The Soundations a dynamic, live stage presence.
MARK (RAL) - KEYBOARDS AND SAX
Ral started tinkling the ivories during his school years and soon progressed to playing in local club bands before joining one of the top Midlands show-bands The Worry. After the demise of The Worry, Ral joined the vocal harmony quartet The Soulistics performing at venues around the Midlands circuit. The love of playing an instrument in a band was something that couldn't be suppressed and Ral also taught himself to play the saxophone on the way to becoming a Soundation.
