Dolly Parton began her musical career when she was just 13 years old, performing on local radio and Television. Dolly's break came in1965 when she began writing songs for other performers, however it soon became apparent to her record label that Dolly had something that the music industry could sell and sell, and by 1967 Dolly was releasing songs as a solo performer.
